10th tee Falcon's Fire

There’s nothing like playing a round of golf on a course that’s in impeccable condition without having to completely empty your wallet. That’s exactly what you get at Falcon’s Fire Golf Club.

Conveniently located right off highway 417 in Kissimmee, Falcon’s Fire is minutes from the Disney attractions and only 25 minutes from Orlando International Airport.

From the moment you arrive at Falcon’s Fire Golf Club, it’s apparent you are at a world class facility. You are greeted by their friendly cart staff who will assist you with loading your clubs onto a cart. From there, you will head down to the pro shop, where you could spend a solid 20 minutes just browsing all the apparel and accessories they have in their loaded shop.

After checking in, you’ll head down stairs to find your clubs loaded up and ready to go. Falcon’s Fire has a great facility where you can get some practice in before your round. The driving range, practice green and chipping green are all conveniently located next to the 1st tee.

In terms of the course itself, Falcon’s Fire is one of my favorite public courses in the Central Florida area. The course provides a great challenge players of all levels, but is also forgiving if you aren’t the straightest of hitters. You use use every club in your bag!

In the winter, the course is overseeded wall to wall with Rye, so conditions are immaculate. The greens are always good at Falcon’s Fire and typically will roll around a 10 on the stimp meter. The golf carts are very clean and feature GPS which we found to be very accurate. We had used our range finder to verify the first few holes, but put it away after seeing how accurate their GPS units were to the flag.

Here is a gallery of pics from the day we played. It was a glorious “cool” Florida day in December. Check it out:

The toughest tee shot of the day you will face is the par 4, 13th hole. With water right and bunkers lining the entire left side of the fairway, it’s definitely the most demanding tee shot of the day. A par here and you are doing great.

Overall I consider Falcon’s Fire to one of the best public courses in Orlando. The fairways, rough, bunkers and greens are all immaculate. The staff is friendly and the food at the bar is great. This is definitely a course you should make a part of your agenda during your trip to Orlando. Non residents can expect to pay around $90-$100 for their round of golf here during the Winter.
